Poker AI Apps for Android: 20 Play Store Listings and What Rooms Say About Them
Most "poker AI" apps on Google Play are study tools: preflop charts, drills against a solver's output, equity calculators and session trackers. Of the 20 listings I opened on 18 October 2026, 18 describe study or calculation and two describe advice on a hand in progress. The written rules of GGPoker, partypoker and 888poker treat that second use differently from the first. The line sits at the table, not in the app.
What I checked
I searched Google Play (US, English, no account) for six phrases: "poker ai", "ai poker", "poker solver", "poker gto trainer", "poker hand analyzer" and "poker odds calculator". I read about 15 app results per phrase (20 for "poker ai"; "poker odds calculator" returned only 10), left out online tables and offline games against computer opponents, which are covered on the play-against-bots page, and opened 20 listings of tools. For each I took the publisher, install bracket, rating, the ads and in-app purchase badges, the last update date and a line from the description. I also searched each description for the words overlay, screen, accessibility, online tables and during play. None of the 20 uses any of those five.
I installed nothing. Everything here is what the store page says. Whether a solver output is correct, or an equity number matches a reference engine, is not something I measured.
The 20 listings, sorted by what they do
| Kind | Apps | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Drills and AI coaches | 5 | Preflop AI, Pokr, GTO Poker AI: Preflop Wizard, Runout, DTO MTT |
| Solver lookups (preflop or postflop) | 5 | GTO Preflop: Poker AI Solver, Poker Solver+, Postflop+, GTO Gecko, PocketSolver |
| Equity and odds calculators | 6 | Poker AI: Odds & Equity, Poker Analyzer, Poker Odds Calculator, Poker Odds Camera, Poker Equity & Odds Calculator, PokerCalc |
| Trackers and hand notes | 2 | Poker Analytics, Poker Hand History Notes |
| Advice on a hand in progress | 2 | Es Poker AI, PokerX |
The sorting is mine, from the descriptions. Several apps fit two rows, and I put each where its first sentence points. The names are misleading in both directions: "Poker AI: Odds & Equity" is a calculator, and "Es Poker AI - Holdem Solver" is the one that talks about a hand while it is still live.

Three patterns in it.
- The money is in the shop, not the ads. Only 2 of the 20 carry the "Contains ads" badge, while 18 carry "In-app purchases". These are subscription and unlock apps.
- Four listings are at 100K+ and two more at 50K+. Six are under 1,000 installs. A small-install app with a long description is a person's side project, which says nothing about whether it works, but it does mean there is no crowd of reviews to lean on.
- They are maintained. Every one was updated after 19 November 2025, and 11 of 20 within the 30 days before my check. Some of the offline games on the other page have gone over a year without an update. These tools sell on freshness of ranges, so a stale build would be a visible failure.
A 4.8 from 1.29K reviews (Preflop AI) and a 4.8 from 1.09K (GTO Gecko) are self-selected. People who leave a rating on a trainer are people who used it for a week and liked it. The ones who found the output wrong are rarely in a position to know.
Which of these show up for "poker ai"
Of the 20, nine appeared in the first 20 app results for "poker ai", after I removed online tables and offline bot games. Preflop AI was second for both "poker ai" and "ai poker", Pokr third, Es Poker AI fourth. The app that is honest about being a hand-by-hand advisor ranks right beside the study tools, and a reader typing two words cannot tell them apart from the title. Postflop+ turned up under five of the six phrases, more than any other, and Poker Solver+, from the same publisher, was first for "poker solver".
The two that talk about a hand in progress
Es Poker AI's description calls it a "Live decision assistant" and promises advice "while the hand is still live". It also describes itself as a real-table coach. The listing mentions no overlay and no screen capture, so I assume you type the situation in, but I did not install it and the description does not say. PokerX describes "GTO-based hand analysis, action recommendations" from a virtual coach. Both sit at 1K+ and 100+ installs.
A few of the others use "live" as marketing: PokerCalc calls itself "the go-to poker calculator for serious live and online players", and Poker Odds Calculator advertises results "in real-time". An equity number is a calculation, not advice, but when you use it at a table is the matter the rooms care about.
What three rooms write about it
I read the published rules of three rooms on 18 October 2026. PokerStars redirected every domain I tried to a different operator from my IP, and I did not reach its policy page, so it is not in the table. The excerpts are short, and the versions are the ones on the pages that day.
| Room | Page and version | During play | Outside play |
|---|---|---|---|
| GGPoker | Security & Ecology Policy, version 20260313 | "Every decision made at the poker table should be made free of any external assistance." Charts of any kind during play are prohibited. The tools list names RTA, bots, solvers, charts and HUDs. | The page adds that "tools or services that do not support or interact with GGPoker during gameplay will not be flagged". RTA penalty on the page: permanent ban and confiscation of funds. |
| partypoker | Third-Party Tools Policy ("safer poker" page), no update date shown | Any tool that "makes decision for, or advises decisions to, a player" is banned. Named solvers and trainers (PioSOLVER, GTO Wizard, Equilab, Flopzilla and others) "are strictly prohibited from being used whilst the partypoker client is also running". | A short list of permitted utilities. Trackers HM2, HM3 and PT4 may run, and the page says they will not work in real time. Solvers are fine for study when the client is closed. |
| 888poker | User Agreement, last updated 5 Aug 2026 | No "software program, robot or external aid, which is endowed with artificial intelligence" and nothing outside the permitted list. Specifically banned: "any tool or program that provides game advice in real time based on the actions of the other players". | Permitted: tools giving "hand strength and pot odds indication", "opening hand charts", and tracking software of information you already have at the table. |
These do not say the same thing, and the gap matters. A preflop chart in your pocket is prohibited at GGPoker and allowed on 888poker as an opening-hand chart. 888poker's permitted list names pot odds and hand strength indication, and says nothing I could find about a full equity calculator. partypoker lists Equilab and Flopzilla among the tools not to run beside its client. So the question "can I use this app" has no single answer. The listing in Google Play cannot answer it, because the Play Store has no idea which room you are going to sit in.
GGPoker says "external assistance" and does not name the device it runs on. The rules cover what you do at the table rather than what is installed on a laptop. I am reading the text and not quoting a ruling from any room's support team, so if you plan to rely on a particular use, ask the room in writing.
What counts as a "bot"
None of the 20 describes playing for you. A bot in the sense used on the rest of this site is a program that sits at a real-money table and picks actions without a human pressing the buttons, and I found no such listing on Play, as shown on the download-risks page and the APK scams page. The "poker AI" tools recommend an action and leave the click to you. The rooms above class an in-game recommendation as assistance, so partypoker's definition covers advice alongside automation. For how rooms catch the automated kind, see the phone farms page.
How to read a listing before you pay
- Find what the first paragraph says it is for. "Study", "train", "drills" and "precomputed outputs" point to learning. "Live", "real table" and "action recommendations" point to a different use.
- Check Data safety and permissions. A trainer needs none of accessibility, screen capture or draw-over-other-apps. All 20 descriptions avoid those words, but the permission list is a separate screen I did not check, and it is the one place a listing can differ from its text.
- Look at the update date and the review count together. A fresh update with 119 reviews (Pokr) and one with 4.49K (Runout) are different bets.
- Find out what the subscription unlocks. With 18 of 20 selling in-app purchases, the free tier is a demo. Whether a paid range set is better than a free chart is something I could not judge from here.
- Pick the use before you pick the room. Study away from the table is the use all three rooms leave alone. At the table, the same app falls under each room's own wording.
What this page cannot tell you
I did not install or run any app, so accuracy of solver data, the quality of coaching and the fairness of the paywalls are all unmeasured. The 20 apps are the ones I selected from six searches in one region on one day, so counts like "2 of 20 show ads" describe that sample and not the store. Ratings and install brackets are Google's rounded figures. Room pages change, and I read GGPoker and 888poker once on the day, and partypoker's policy page has no date I could use. A re-run will carry its own date.
